On September 2, the expert jury met as part of the call for applications for the Digital Logistics Award 2021. Of the 49 applicants from 17 countries, eight start-ups made it to the grand finale. What is special about the award is that an expert audience of more than 500 participants and over 40 experts from the logistics industry will decide on up to four winners. For this purpose, each finalist is allowed to pitch for three minutes at the Future Logistics Congress and present himself and his innovative idea.

These eight start-ups made it to the final this year:

AllRead Machine Learning Technologies S.L:

AllRead MLT, which was founded in 2019, is on a mission to digitize logistics through automated and accurate data capture. Their software is based on unique deep-learning-based recognition models that enable highly accurate data capture in environments where traditional OCR tends to fail.

BitCargo:

BitCargo was founded in 2020 with the vision of becoming a European pioneer in the digital road transport industry by offering a sustainable and innovative e-CRM solution, based on intuitive document management and trusted data exchange.

Chekkit Technologies Inc:

Chekkit Technologies Corp. was founded in 2018 with the goal of providing a blockchain-based anti-counterfeiting and consumer intelligence service. In addition, they have made it their mission to enable manufacturers to address their consumers directly.

Fillics GmbH:

Fillics, a Munich based startup founded in 2019, aims to innovate intralogistics with a smart, future-oriented solution that sets a new standard for ground-based transportation.

Logistics.cloud:

In 2018, logistics.cloud emerged from a joint project between large German-based industrial companies and global logistics companies. The company’s vision is to structurally improve basic data exchange by connecting the numerous fragmented IT and data solutions in the logistics industry seamlessly.

Manyfolds GmbH:

Founded in 2018, Manyfolds creates size-optimized shipping packaging via a web app, offers packaging data to participants in the logistic chain to optimize efficiency, and provides a compact machine for SME and retailers for local packaging production.

Moeco IoT Inc.:

Moeco was founded in 2018 and aims to improve global supply chain operations through actionable data insights. Moeco’s solutions enable vast cost reductions by automating insights and alerts to reduce manual tracking efforts, allowing operators to focus on more important and inspiring tasks.

WAVES S.Ă  r.l:

WAVES was founded in 2019 and operates at the crossroads where sustainability and cloud technology meet. Their mission is to make sustainability visible to managers and to enable circular economy. Among other things, they offer a sustainability management platform for carbon footprints.

 

The final of the Digital Logistics Award will take place digitally on September 14, 2021. This year, the entire Future Congress will be offered digitally and participation is free of charge. Starting at 2:30 p.m., the eight finalists will pitch and then the audience and expert jury will vote on the winners, who will be announced at the Award Ceremony, starting at 5:30 p.m. on the same day.
