pyck GmbH wins the Digital Logistics Award 2025​

The start-up pyck GmbH impressed both the expert jury and the audience with its pitch at the final of the 8th Digital Logistics Award, securing first place in the competition against five other finalists.

As part of the “Zukunftskongress Logistik – 43. Dortmunder Gespräche”, the six finalists presented their innovative logistics solutions in a five-minute elevator pitch to participants from the worlds of science, business, and politics. The jury and audience then jointly decided on the winners. Since 2017, the Digital Hub Logistics has been using this award to recognize and promote creative and practical business solutions that advance the digital working world in logistics

1st Place: 9.000 Euro

pyck GmbH secured first place in the Digital Logistics Award 2025, which comes with a prize of €9,000. The start-up offers a modular open-source platform for warehouse management systems (WMS) that enables logistics companies to build their own systems flexibly and precisely. In the final round of the awards, founder and CEO Dr. Daniel Jarr presented the solution on stage at the „Zukunftskongress Logistik – 43. Dortmunder Gespräche” and impressed the jury and audience with a strong pitch.

2nd Place: 4.500 Euro

Second place goes to Potsdam: With its PANION software platform, K2 Mobility offers an intelligent solution for charging and energy management for electric commercial vehicle fleets. The platform uses real-time data and AI-based forecasts to efficiently control charging processes, reduce costs, and lower CO₂ emissions.

3rd Place: 1.500 Euro

Third place went to Munich-based EASE, which impressed with its lightweight, adaptive exoskeletons that relieve employees during physically demanding activities such as lifting and carrying. With its combination of active and passive support and intelligent intention recognition, the solution helps to ensure long-term health, motivation, and productivity in logistics.

A jury of experts from science and industry reviewed all applications in advance and then selected the finalists, who were given the opportunity to present their projects in a five-minute pitch during the congress. The jury included Andrea Peters (startport GmbH), Boris Jeggle (Rhenus 4PL Solutions), Bettina Brennenstuhl (Dortmunder Hafen AG), Christian Michel (audalis), Christian Prasse (Fraunhofer IML), Sophie Engel (BITO Campus), and Jörg Wamser (FTTF – Fraunhofer Technology Transfer Fund).
