
pyck wins Digital Logistics Award 2025
The start-up pyck GmbH from Baden-Württemberg won first place at the Digital Logistics Award 2025 with its open source software. The prize was awarded for the eighth time as part of the „Zukunftskongress Logistik – 43. Dortmunder Gespräche“
Six finalists presented their innovative logistics solutions in a five-minute elevator pitch to an audience of industry professionals and a jury of experts. The jury and participants then jointly selected the winners. The award ceremony took place in the congress center of the Westfalenhallen Dortmund during the evening event organized by Wirtschaftsförderung Dortmund and TU Dortmund University.
pyck impresses with open source WMS
pyck clearly stood out with its open source framework for warehouse management systems (WMS). The system offers companies control, flexibility, a global developer community, and a public API. It is secure, cost-efficient, easily customizable, and manufacturer-independent. Founder Daniel Jarr impressed both the jury and the audience with his idea. First place comes with a prize of €9,000 and access to the international network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH).
Other winners:
- 2nd place: K2 Mobility GmbH (Brandenburg) – with a solution for integrated and dynamic charging processes for electric trucks and buses. Prize money: €4,500.
- 3rd place: EASE – Ergonomische Assistenzsysteme GmbH (Munich) – with flexible and intuitive exoskeletons that enable freedom of movement and high acceptance among users. Prize money: €1,500.
About the Digital Logistics Award
The Digital Logistics Award, organized by Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund, is one of the most lucrative awards for logistics start-ups in Europe, with prize money totaling €15,000. “We are delighted with the large number of high-quality applications and congratulate all the winners,” said Maria Beck, Hub Manager at Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund. The aim of the award is to recognize and promote creative business ideas for digital working environments in logistics.
